Summerhouse dressage and Hartpury BSJA
We have had 2 outings this week. On Friday I took, Barney, Ollie, Rocky and Woody to Summerhouse. Woody and Rocky were competing in a Novice, they were both fantastic. Woody scored just under 69% and finished 4th and Rocky just behind on 67%. Ollie and Barney were then in a Medium. Ollie was a little green, but coped well, he scored just under 60% but finshed in 2nd. Barney was extremely fresh and acted like a 4yo, he scored 52%.
Today (Sunday) we were at Hartpury doing some jumping. I took Mexico, Barney, George and Tomi. Mexico jumped well, just had 1 down in the 1.15m. Barney had 1 down in the 1.15m and 2 in the 1.20m, but jumped well for his first jump outing of the year. George was very excited to be out, and doing flying changes all over the place, he jumped a lovely clear in the 1.15, and was unlucky to roll 1 fence in the 1.20m, but has come out very fresh this year. Next was Tomi, my first proper jumping outing with her. She was a superstar, a lovely slow clear in the 1.15m, and a double clear to finish 9th in 1.20m. She was super!
Addington Arena ODE
Yesterday we were at Addington, doing an arena ODE. I took Leacourt Master Doubt (Dougal) Bromsden Orlando (Andy) and Lucullus (Luca). It was a great competition and very educational. We started with a dressage test, then jumped a round on XC type fences in the outdoor school, and then jumped a round on show jumps in the indoor school.
They were all fantastic. Andy did a lovely test, and jumped a great clear XC. He then had 2 down in the SJ, but finished 6th. Dougal was quiet in his test, just a bit green, he too jumped clear XC and had 2 down in the SJ. Luca was very frightened of the judges boxes at the end of the arena, so wasnt too keen on going to that end of the school, but otherwise was lovely. He then touched one fence in the XC, and jumped a super clear SJ to finish 4th.
A great preparation before the season!
Georgie seeks New Horses and Owners for the 2011 Season.

Do you have a talented horse that you want to put with one of Britains Up and Coming Young Event Riders?
Georgie has been on Junior and Young Rider Europeans teams 4 years running, winning a silver and two gold medals. Now coming into her 2nd year as a senior rider, she is looking for new owners to join her team.
Georgie is one of the most experienced riders for her age, having jumped clear XC at 5 out of 6 CCI**** starts, having won Best 25 at Badminton, and Best u25, Nearest Optimum time and Best First timer at Bughley in 2008. In 2009 she was the only rider to have 2 horses clear inside the time XC at Badminton. And in 2010 was one of only four British riders to jump clear XC in the challenging CCI**** at Pau in France.
We currently have two horses ‘Running Brook’ an established CCI**** horse aiming for Badminton 2011 and ‘Wii Limbo’ a stunning intermediate horse, aiming for a CCI** in 2011, that we are looking to syndicate. We offer packages to suit all owners. Please contact for more infomation, all questions welcome.

Two successful dressage outings to Summerhouse and West Wilts

We have had two successful trips out to dressage competitions. Last Friday we were at Summerhouse with Woody, Ollie and Tomi. Woody was competing in his first elementary and was fantastic, and it was lovely to be rewarded with over 69% and a win. Ollie did both elementary classes, scored 65 and 68% finishing 3rd in both classes.
It was my first dressage outing on Tomi, who was certainly excited to be out. She was quite hot in the elementary but scored just over 60% to finish 6th, she was a lot more settled in the Medium to scored nearly 63% and finish 3rd. Overall I was very pleased with them.
Yesterday we were back at West Wilts, doing % dressage. I took Ollie, Woody, Luca and Andy. They were all on excellent form. There was only about 20-25 people there. Ollie did his best test to date at intermediate level to scored 72.3% and win. Woody scored nearly 70% to finish in 2nd place, again at intermediate level. Andy and Luca were both doing a BE100 test. Andy produced a much more supple and fluent test to score 68.5% and finshed 3rd, and Luca was definately more grown up to score 65% for 4th place.
Again, a very successful day and we are all looking forward to the first event.

Summerhouse BSJA

Our first trip to Sumerhouse for BSJA was a succesful one.
We took Mexico, Rocky, Woody and Tomi.
Mexico and Rocky were competing in the Newcombers and the 1.15m. Mexico was feeling a little rusty having not jumped for 3 weeks and rolled 2 poles in the newcombers, but made up for it was a double clear and 2nd in the 1.15m. Rocky was fantastic and jumped 2 double clears, but was on a ticket so didnt pick up a prize.
Woody jumped a great double clear to finish 4th in the 1.15m and was unlucky to rol 1 fence in the jump off of the Foxhunter. Tomi jumped the Foxhunter, we rolled 2 poles as we got a bit quick but jumped better second time round.
